The 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class is Coming soon to Tampa
At first glance it might not appear that the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class is much different than the 2012. The changes start with a new headlight setup that features LED running lights and incorporates more chrome into the grille. On the opposite end of the GLK-Class, new taillights with LED and light pipe accents, a redesigned chrome skidplate and new exhaust tips. The license plate is also illuminated with LEDs. The standard 19-inch five-spoke wheels have also been restyled.
Under the re-sculpted hood of this particular Mercedes-Benz, you will find a new 3.5-liter V-6 engine. Thanks to a higher compression ratio and direct fuel injection, peak output climbs from 268 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque to 302 hp and 273 lb-ft, all while improving fuel efficiency in the process. The final mechanical update is a move to electromechanical steering assist, instead of the previous hydraulic assist setup.
The five seat interior has seen some really great upgrades. The shifter has been moved from the center console to the steering column, this allows for two more cup holders beneath a sliding cover. The air vents on the dashboard are now round instead of rectangle and match the look of the 2013 Mercedes SL-Class roadster. Burled wood trim now spans the width of the entire dashboard for a sleek look.
